Michael Hawes

Michael Hawes is a bass-baritone singer, trumpet player and pianist/organist living in Chicago. Recent performances have taken him to Seoul, South Korea, Israel and Palestine, Russia and all across the United States. Michael is a Grammy nominated soloist and loves to sing in vocal ensembles of all shapes and sizes, including recently the Clarion Choir, Crossing Choir, Seraphic Fire, Artefact Ensemble, the American Soloists Ensemble, St. Tikohn Choir, PaTram Institute choir and more. As a trumpet player, Michael has performed with the Detroit Symphony, Grand Rapids Symphony, Music of the Baroque Orchestra (Chicago), National Symphony of Taiwan and Axiom Brass. As a pianist and organist, Michael has led music programs at multiple Catholic churches in the Chicago area. In his spare time he likes nothing more than a dip in Lake Michigan or catching frisbees with his wife Nini, with one year old son Felix in tow.
